We also know that when you live in this area the deer are often ready to chow down at the first sign of color. Many factors can determine whether they are eaten. Those marked with an asterisk (*) are particularly resistant.
As it turns out, quite a large number of flowers, herbs, and even vegetables are deer resistant pollinator plants.
I say resistant because if hungry enough, or just felling adventurous, deer will eat almost anything, or at least nibble on it. Deer are all cute little bambis until the day you decide to plant a garden. Some trees generally resistant to deer include spruce, pines, honey locust. We also know that when you live in this area the deer are often ready to chow down at the first sign of color.
